MEET THE FOUNDER

Laura Seguin
Founder & Event Producer

Hi! I’m Laura, founder and lead event producer of Moments 2 Memories Weddings & Events.

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, I moved to Los Angeles in 2005 with dreams of building a career within the entertainment industry. While gaining experience in film production as a script supervisor (“scripty”), second assistant director and producer, I also worked events through hotels, restaurants and catering companies across Southern California. Looking back, those experiences became the foundation that shaped my approach to wedding and event planning.

Everything changed after I was offered an opportunity to assist with weddings. I immediately fell in love with the energy, creativity, emotion and connection that weddings bring into people’s lives. What began as a new opportunity quickly turned into a lifelong passion and eventually led to the creation of Moments 2 Memories.

With more than a decade of experience, I’ve had the honor of planning and coordinating weddings, destination weddings, corporate events, fashion shows, fundraisers, quinceañeras and bar and bat mitzvahs throughout Southern California and beyond. My background in film production taught me precision, adaptability and how to manage countless moving pieces under pressure, while my Southern upbringing instilled a deep appreciation for hospitality, warmth and exceptional client experiences.

I believe wedding planning should feel exciting, personal and collaborative rather than stressful or overwhelming. My goal is always to create an experience that allows clients to feel supported, understood and genuinely cared about throughout every stage of the planning process. I pride myself on building strong relationships with my couples, maintaining calm energy during high-pressure moments and ensuring every detail receives thoughtful attention.

Throughout the years, I’ve been fortunate to build lasting relationships with incredible venues and vendors, including long-standing partnerships with venues such as Carondelet House & The Oviatt Penthouse. In August 2021, I also planned my first international destination wedding in São Miguel, Azores, Portugal, an experience that deepened my love for destination weddings and international travel.

When I’m not planning celebrations, I enjoy traveling, attending concerts, watching sports, exploring new places and creating unforgettable memories with my son, friends and loved ones.

At the heart of everything I do remains one simple purpose: creating meaningful experiences filled with beauty, connection and memories that last a lifetime!!

Principal Planner & Stylist

My passion for design and planning started as a young girl. I grew up as the only girl of three siblings, and needless to say I put on a "production" for my family every chance I got! From the time I was able to speak I began singing and acting, performing in school and church plays and of course, receiving multiple make-believeTony Awards for my make-shift living room musicals. I designed my own costumes, sets, make up and even lighting! My creative side has always been what drives me.

Wedding and event planning not only brings me great joy, it is what I love and makes me thrive as a professional. Helping people is what I was born to do.

When I met my soon-to-be-husband, we decided to delve into the world of real estate as a team, where we have helped so many couples and families obtain their dream homes! We became engaged, and we got married at the happiest place on earth- Disneyland!!! Yes, we sure did! We planned our wedding together for a year in bright colors and shimmering scenes. In that year we had the most fun of our lives! I got to create a magical extravaganza for the most amazing day of my life! It was truly a wake up call. I realized that all the jobs I had up to that point were preparing me for what I was truly meant to do: designing and planning events of all shapes, sizes and varieties! Serving others and bringing happiness into the lives of people is the greatest gift.

I make it my goal to embark upon a one of a kind, unique, and fun journey with each couple, each family, and each group that I meet. From start to finish, I promise to use personal touches to add the element of magic to every moment. Let's create memories that thrill for a lifetime. My passion for travel began at age 4 when my mom took me on my first flight to visit my dad in the navy. I remember everything. I wore a plaid dress and red leather shoes. I had the window seat. It was nighttime. My nose pressed firmly against the window, I was fascinated by the cobalt blue lights along the runway. The engines revved, I gasped, we took off and I haven’t landed since!

I’ve been fortunate enough to travel quite extensively and though my primary college degree is in Television Broadcasting, my heart is truly with firmly touching the world and sharing it with all who are ready and open! So the stars aligned and PlanetKelli was formed!

Nothing makes me happier than to craft a unique experience for my clients; whether it’s creating a romantic escape, a celebration journey or an adventure for the senses – this is what brings me satisfaction. And then to have my clients return with applause and rave reviews...well, this is what fulfills me.

For me, the art of travel is not just knowing the destinations but matching the traveler with the right choices and pulling it all together. That is what I do.
